Planning to travel to Mongolia in autumn? Great choice. 

Autumn is an important season for Mongolians as they start to prepare for a cold harsh winter ahead of them. In Mongolia, Autumn is relatively short, starting from late August and ending around mid-October, continuing only 1 and a half mount. The school will start in September and there will be a lot of weddings and other ceremonies celebrated according to the lunar calendar. 

Autumn is a great time to travel around Mongolian Gobi with its warm weather. Colors will change drastically, and make natural colorful paintings all around Mongolia. And there will be a few events and festivals up to hold in Autumn, but most famous and the most attractive festival would be Altai eagle festival & Golden eagle Festival. 

Both of them are held annually in September and October when the weather eagles are well trained and ready t hunt for the winter. Also, the festivals will give a great chance to visit beautiful Western Mongolia. Both of the festivals continue for 2 days and, during the festivals, you can learn about Eagle hunters in Mongolia and their culture. With this tour not only you can take part in the Golden Eagle Festival, but you also have a chance to spend the night with the Kazakh family and visit the majestic Altai Tavan Bog mountain area.
