Overview
The taimen is the world’s largest salmonid. Mostly found in Russia, Mongolia, and China. On this trip, you fish with one of the most experienced fishermen and hunter in Mongolia. You will fish along the Onon river staying in Ger as well as in a tent. 3 meals a day by a chef.

Tour itinerary
On the First day of your trip, you will arrive in Ulaanbaatar city, the capital of Mongolia. We will pick you up from your arrival location whether it is the airport or train station. you will be greeted by our staff, and depending on your arrival time, a city tour is available.

On the second day of your tour, our guide and driver will meet you at the hotel and will transfer you to the airport for your flight to Murun city, the capital of Khuvsgul province. After landing in Murun your local driver will pick you up from the airport. Firstly we will visit Murun town, take short a city tour to a local market & a museum. After lunch drive to Huvsgul Lake, the deepest and purest lake in Mongolia.

Today we will drive to Tsagaan nuur village which is located in the Darkhad depression. The Darkhad depression is a large valley a broad expanse of open steppe surrounded by Ulaan Taiga and Hordil Saridag mountain range located in Khuvsgul province, Mongolia. There we will meet our new travel crew, and start our horseback tour to the Taiga.

We will ride horses through the Taiga for a full day. Do not forget to bring sunscreen and bug spray. You will enjoy the wilderness of the Mongolian Taiga forest.
At the end of the road, we will meet with one and only Tsaatan or reindeer herders of Mongolia.

We will spend two full days with the Tsaatan family and learn about their culture, lifestyle, and more.
In the most northern Taiga of Mongolia, the last remaining Dukha people, the Tsaatan tribe – Reindeer herders are living with their 1000 years old unique tradition and lifestyle. They move around the deep taiga up to 10 times a year tending their reindeer.
Now around 60 families of Tsaatan with 500 people are living in the deep taiga of Mongolia.

After breakfast, we will say goodbye to the Tsaatan family and start our way back home.

After breakfast, we will drive back to the Khuvsgul lakeside. Today we will spend 1 full day relaxing around the Khuvsgul lake. You can take a boat trip around the lake and biking, kayaking is optional.

After breakfast, we will drive to Murun city and take a flight to Ulaanbaatar. After arriving in Ulaanbaatar we will do some city tours and shopping. In the evening we will attend a folklore concert.

1.Travelers are required to have proof of full vaccination against COVID-19 either, recovery or a negative COVID-19 test certification or any kind of valid documents. Children aged 6-17 must present.
- Proof of vaccination status (for children who are eligible); or
- Proof of a negative COVID-19 test (PCR or lateral flow) conducted no more than 72 hours before your tour; or
- Proof of recovery from COVID-19 (a medical clearance certificate from a medical professional) dated no more than 9 months before your tour.
3. Upon your arrival in Ulaanbaatar, our driver will pick you up from the airport or train station and take you to your hotel. On this day depending on your arrival time city tour is available. And the last day of your tour our driver will take you to the airport, and a city tour is not included.
4. A single supplement is available if you want to use a room just for yourself. If you want a single supplement please make an inquiry with our booking manager. The single supplement is 70$ per night.
