About us

Amgalantur Tumurkhuu, Chief Executive Officer

Hello everyone. It’s Amgalantur, or Turu, in short, born in Ulaanbaatar Mongolia in 1993. First and foremost, thank you very much for your interest in Mongolia and consideration of our company.  I’d be very grateful if we could arrange your tour in Mongolia.

Here at Geru Travel, we have 3 main businesses:

  1. @GeruTraveMongolia is for Japanese travelers who are looking to travel to Mongolia.  We offer affordable and tailor-made tours to our Japanese travelers. We have 15+ years of experience in the Mongolian tourism industry and a deep understanding of Japanese culture and people’s mindset.
  1. @HuwsgulHanhAylal is for Mongolian travelers who want to travel to Hanh town which is a small yet incredibly beautiful town on the northern shore of Khuvsgul Lake near the Russian border. However, this tour is not only for Mongolians last couple of years several Japanese and International travelers also participated in this tour and explored majestic northern parts of Mongolia.
  1. We also organize outbound tours for Mongolian and International travelers to Central Asian Countries such as Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan as well as to Russia and Thailand. Glad to announce that soon outbound tours to Japan as well.

We know that traveling to foreign countries can cause lots of worries and stress specifically in countries like Mongolia where there are less information and less known. Here at Geru Travel, every single client of us is our family member and we take care of them as if they are our family members.

In Mongolian Ger means a home, as you know white tent-like dwelling where Mongolian nomads live is also called Ger. In other words, Ger is a general term that represents the meaning of someone’s home in the Mongolian language. Regardless of whether a Mongolian person lives in an either apartment or a house or in actual Ger in general it is called a Ger in the Mongolian language in day-to-day life. Thus we will welcome and treat every single one of our travelers as if they are coming home and as if we are brothers. Welcome back to your Ger.
