Upon your arrival in Ulaanbaatar, our travel driver and guide will pick you up from the airport and escort you to your hotel. Depending n your arrival time city tour would be available.

Today we will start our trip to the Ancient Mongolian capital city Kharkhorin. Located 360k  from Ulaanbaatar, Kharkhorin has lot to do.On way to Kharkhorin, we will stop by the Mini desert, Elsentasarkhai. Elsentasarkhai is an 80km long sand dune located in between the mountains of Khugnu Khan. You can enjoy a short trek through the sand dunes and ride on a Mongolian two-humped camel. We will eat lunch in Elsentasarkhai, then we will continue to drive to Kharkhorin. Visit the Erdenezuu monastery which was built on ruins of Kharkhorin city. Then we will visit Kharkhorin historical museum to learn more about the history of the Great Mongolian Empire and Kharkhorin city. 

In the evening we will visit a local nomad family, enjoy Mongolian BBQ for the dinner.

In the morning we will learn about the Mongolian nomadic lifestyle. You can try milking cows and goats, making dairy products, and help to nomadic families with daily chores. 

After lunch, we will drive to Tsenkher hot spring which is only about 100km from Kharkhorin city. You can relax all day in the hot spring.

After breakfast, we will start our t to the next destination, Chuluut river valley, and Khorgo terkhi national park. The Chuluut river flows through 20 m deep canyons of basaltic rock. There is a small waterfall called Choidogyn Borgio in the Chuluut river and the area is famous for its fishing and rafting. 

Then we will drive to Terkhi white lake and check in to our gers. Before dinner, we will have a horse riding trail around the lakeshore.

After breakfast, we will start hiking to Khorgo extinct volcano. Khorgo extinct volcano where you’ll see the marvelous mountain view and endangered species of vegetation & fauna. It’s encompassed by the Khangai Mountains, which reach up to 3000 meters over sea level. Over a comparatively little range here, there are a dozen or so extinct volcanoes. To see the astonishing view of the range you’ll be able to climb up the top of the crater. 

After dinner, we will have a small bonfire party.

Today we will drive to Ugii Lake, which is located  320km away from Khorgo Terkhi national park. The freshwater lake is famous for bird watching, and fishing tours as the lake is home to almost 150 species of aquatic birds and various types of fish. We will do a short boat trip around the lake and enjoy a beautiful sunset scenario.

On the last day of the tour, we will start driving back to Ulaanbaatar city. A short visit to Khustai national park is also included. In Hustai national park, you can observe wild animals such as Przewalski horse, red deer, mammoth, wolf, foxes, and more. 

Upon arrival in Ulaanbaatar, we will do some shopping, and visit the Choijin Lama temple museum. Enjoy folklore concert. In the evening we will have a nice dinner in a hotpot restaurant.

  • Proof of recovery from COVID-19 (a medical clearance certificate from a medical professional) dated no more than 9 months before your tour.  

3. Upon your arrival in Ulaanbaatar, our driver will pick you up from the airport or train station and take you to your hotel. On this day depending on your arrival time city tour is available. And the last day of your tour our driver will take you to the airport, and a city tour is not included.

4. A single supplement is available if you want to use a room just for yourself. If you want a single supplement please make an inquiry with our booking manager. The single supplement is 70$ per night.

Itinerary

Day 1 Arrive in Zürich, Switzerland

We’ll meet at 4 p.m. at our hotel in Luzern (Lucerne) for a “Welcome to Switzerland” meeting. Then we’ll take a meandering evening walk through Switzerland’s most charming lakeside town, and get acquainted with one another over dinner together. Sleep in Luzern (2 nights). No bus. Walking: light.

Day 2Zürich–Biel/Bienne–Neuchâtel–Geneva

Enjoy an orientation walk of Zurich’s OLD TOWN, Switzerland’s center of banking and commerce. Then, leave Zurich and start your Swiss adventure. You’ll quickly discover that Switzerland isn’t just home to the Alps, but also to some of the most beautiful lakes. First, stop at the foot of the Jura Mountains in the picturesque town of Biel, known as Bienne by French-speaking Swiss, famous for watch-making, and explore the historical center. Next, enjoy a scenic drive to lakeside Neuchâtel, dominated by the medieval cathedral and castle. Time to stroll along the lake promenade before continuing to stunning Geneva, the second-largest city in Switzerland, with its fantastic lakeside location and breathtaking panoramas of the Alps.

Day 3Enchanting Engelberg

Our morning drive takes us from Swiss lakes to Swiss Army. At the once-secret Swiss army bunker at Fortress Fürigen, we’ll see part of the massive defense system designed to keep Switzerland strong and neutral. Afterward, a short drive into the countryside brings us to the charming Alpine village of Engelberg, our picturesque home for the next two days. We’ll settle into our lodge then head out for an orientation walk. Our stroll through the village will end at the Engelberg Abbey, a Benedictine monastery with its own cheese-making operation. You’ll have free time to wander back before dinner together. Sleep in Engelberg (2 nights). Bus: 1 hr. Walking: light.

Day 4Interlaken Area. Excursion to The Jungfrau Massif

An unforgettable trip to the high Alpine wonderland of ice and snow is the true highlight of a visit to Switzerland. Globus Local Favorite At an amazing 11,332 feet, the JUNGFRAUJOCH is Europe’s highest railway station. Jungfrau’s 13,642-foot summit was first ascended in 1811 and in 1912 the rack railway was opened. There are lots of things to do here: enjoy the ALPINE SENSATION, THE PANORAMA 360° EXPERIENCE, and the ICE PALACE. Also receive your JUNGFRAU PASSPORT as a souvenir to take home with you. The round trip to the “Top of Europe” by MOUNTAIN TRAIN will take most of the day.

Day 5Lake Geneva and Château de Chillon

It’s market day in Lausanne! Enjoy browsing and packing a picnic lunch for our 11 a.m. boat cruise on Lake Geneva. A few miles down-shore we’ll dock at Château de Chillon, where we’ll have a guided tour of this delightfully medieval castle on the water. On our way back we’ll take time to peek into the vineyards surrounding Lutry before returning to Lausanne. Boat: 2 hrs. Bus: 1 hr. Walking: moderate.
